Really there’s no excuse, but here I am after a LOOOONG blogging hiatus. This is where it gets good though readers. Because NOW, we have things to talk about.
For instance, we’ve got Fall Festival coming up in just seven days. (Oh my. You put it like that and I want to run into the kitchen and bake until all hours! Yikes!) Anyway, I am perfectly calm and ready. We will, as always, be doing our famous Pumpkin Pie in a Cup. For the unititiated, that is warm delicious pumpkin pie served up in a cup with whipped cream on top. We will also be featuring our lovely, wonderful, friendly, beautiful Iowa contingency of pie scoopers! Hooray. We really couldn’t do it without them. We will start serving on Friday, October 15th at 9AM. DON’T miss it!
Soup today is Old Fashioned Turkey Noodle.
Also, I have to give a shout out to Mr. Brotherhood. I hope he’s reading.

Hi Rachel!
Haven’t been to your site in awhile because I know you’ve been so busy with your growing business that you haven’t had time to post for awhile–anyhow, I had a minute to boot up at Starbucks here in Milw (a sorry substitute for Drink Coffee, by the way) and saw that you’re back. I’m going to show your Oct. 9 post to the kids tonight because they’ll be so excited to see that our name was mentioned in your blog. Hope all is well with you and keep up the good work.
