Easy like Sunday Morning

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Wow.  What a GREAT weekend here on the peninsula.  It is just gorgeous outside.  I always feel so full of gratitude this time of the year.  I work at a sweet coffee shop and I live in a sweet place.  What more could you ask for?  How about home made Turkey Noodle Soup.  Well. we’ve got that.  Come get it.  You’ll feel better.

Another rainy day.  I think there’s no better place to be on a rainy day than right here in the shop.  These windows are sooo pretty and it feels so cozy in here.  We should be receiving our NEWSPAPERS any minute and you can sit right at the bar and enjoy.

Soup today is Vegetable Beef.

sad news

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

So yeah, sad news.  My computer is having a slow and painful death.  The screen got crunched in the move.  I’m sitting here in my office with a ten year old 19 in GIGANTIC monitor taking up my entire desk.  It’s actually kind of funny.  So, I’m in the market for a new one.  Dang. I’m having a bad technology week I guess becasue my phone is dead too.  Good thing I’ve got a new store going for me.

We had an amazing weekend here at the store.  It was very busy and we are LOVING the new location.  Soups today are Asiago Cheese Bisque and Cream of Carrot.

ready. set. go.

I just love how it is light out for SO long right now.  Right now and Fall are my favorite times in Door County.  Almost everyday I have one of those moments when you go, “Oh yeah, THIS is why I likver here.”

What do YOU think?  Are you having moments like that too?

Soup today is Old Fashioned Tomato.

I told Barb, my media monger, about the pressure I was feeling now that my radio ad says “Daily Blog” and I wasn’t posting here.  She said “Three times a week is really good.”  Phew.  I will continue to attempt to post each day though.

I’m working at a disadvantage though because my computer screen took a hit during the move.  It now looks like a cracked windshield.  It’s a little hard to proofread.  Please excuse.

I’ve got extra help coming in today so I can whip up some new exciting items!  Come check them out!

Soup is New England Clam Chowder.

Rainy Day

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

It seems like today is going to be a rainy day.  That makes it the PERFECT day to grab a book and a cup of coffee and sit in my front windows to watch the world go by.

I’ll be baking so it’ll smell delicious in here, and we’ll have homemade soup from the Top Shelf today too.  Come enjoy!

Sure.  As soon as I get the radio ads saying “Check Rachel’s Daily Blog,” I don’t blog for like five days.  Nice.

Anyway, I havne’t been blogging becasue I’m doing all this exciting other stuff like paperwork to get a Credit Card machine.  See, that’s good right?  Very soon, you will be able to charge away.

Soup today is Cream of Carrot.
